How to Use This Tool

1. Step 1

   Complete the STSI-OA

   The STSI-OA will help prioritize which STS Blueprint domain to start with. Ensure input from staff at various levels and from MDT partners. Set ground rules and discuss process to provide transparency and encourage honest feedback.

2. Step 2

   Choose a Domain

   Based on the STSI-OA results, consult with staff to select a domain for focus. Organizational health and staff well-being should drive the process for selecting a domain.

3. Step 3

   Complete the Domain’s Rating Tool

   Go to the selected domain and complete the rating tool for a baseline assessment of current strengths and challenges. Your results will be displayed on-screen and sent to you via email.

4. Step 4

   Analyze Your Results

   Based on the rating tool results and input from staff, prioritize two items for growth that are crucial to organizational and staff well-being. Items marked as “Somewhat,” “Not at all,” or “No” may indicate items to be prioritized.

5. Step 5

   Create an Action Plan

   Examine the strategies and resources for each item you’ve prioritized, and create an action plan to implement recommended strategies. A template and a sample plan are provided for you.

6. Step 6

   Continuous Improvement

   Once the plan is completed, choose more strategies or another domain and repeat steps to create additional action plans.
