DOMAIN 6: ORGANIZATIONAL EVALUATION AND MONITORING
Item 2
To what extent does your organization evaluate the impact of efforts to address STS?
Strategies:
It is important to evaluate the impact of efforts to address STS, such as STS training and/or changes in organizational policies and practices intended to mitigate STS (e.g., reduced caseloads, mental health days, and/or wellness initiatives).
Evaluation of these efforts can include staff surveys (training evaluations, job satisfactions surveys, STS assessments, self-rating tools, focus groups, and/or interviews with staff).
The above measures can be used pre- and post-intervention to evaluate whether the organizational effort made an impact on STS scores among staff.1
In addition to formal measures, checking in with staff and asking for their feedback on what is and is not working to address STS on a regular basis is important.
The rating tools included in this Blueprint can be used to assess specific progress in each of the six domains and identify areas in which further attention may be needed.
